Portland Maine

Wednesday I spent most of the day with my cousin Ginger and friends at the Portland Head Light and Two Lights State Park. We hiked around the park on the waterfront and had a great lunch at the Lobster Shack...I really enjoyed the fried clam dinner with pineapple cole slaw. Then I finished the meal with a blueberry mini pie, Ginger had a whoopie pie and it was huge!!
Then we took some photographs of the lighthouses and at the end of the day we were pooped!! Didn't realize how old we are I guess. Anyways I met Ginger's son Little Charlie, he's about 6'5", no so little, also his wife Laura and son Noah. Noah loved the motorcycle and just kept going BRRRRROOOOOMMMMM all day. Then I met her daughter Jenny and her daughter Allie. It was nice to see them all. I missed Charlie as he was out to sea and daughter Danielle was enroute to California. We got home and it began to rain and it was a deluge all nite.

Was still raining this morning until about 10-11. Then the sun came out for a bit. My Aunt Melva and Uncle Allen were up from Florida and came out to Ginger's house to see me. Glad to see Allen was doing so well after his bout with colon cancer. Allen is the reason that I ride a motorcycle...when Linda and I were first married he had a 1976 Honda CB750 Anniversary Edition. I fell in love with that bike. He told me today that he still has it and that it is almost in perfect condition with only 11,000 miles on it. He promised that when he sells it he will call me...yay!! After they left I began packing gear and lo and behold it came another downpour and I had to sit and wait another hour or so. I finally got on the road about 4:30 and I arrived in Bangor at my mother-in-laws house at 6:45. So now I am blogging and then going to bed...until tomorrow...
